Job Overview:
The Commercial Officer ensures clients achieve maximum value from Onelink’s solutions. Acting as the main post-sale contact, this client-focused professional builds strong relationships, supports service adoption, and proactively addresses client needs. The role emphasizes delivering measurable outcomes, supporting client retention, renewals, and account growth. The Customer Success Officer will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Onboarding & Adoption
- Lead smooth onboarding of new clients for Onelink’s performance and fleet management solutions.
- Coordinate training and support to client teams to drive effective adoption.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to ship owners and managers, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Engage quarterly/regularly with clients to understand challenges and align solutions with their goals.
Retention & Expansion
- Monitor client satisfaction and proactively resolve issues.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Assist commercial teams with renewals and account growth strategies.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key metrics such as customer engagement, feedback and reviews completed, and engagement KPIs.
- Deliver regular performance reviews and reports demonstrating ROI and improvement areas.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with operations, technical, and commercial teams to address client issues.
- Share client feedback to influence product development and service improvements.
Industry Engagement & Support
- Stay updated on maritime regulations, environmental requirements, and digital trends.
- Support reporting and presentations for Onelink products, projects and initiatives.
- Assist operational and commercial teams with product promotions and market insights.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (Maritime Studies preferred) or relevant work experience
Experience
- 1-3 years in customer success or client-facing roles within maritime/shipping industry.
- Experience with digital platforms, performance monitoring tools, or fleet management is advantageous.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
- Excellent problem-solving with a client-first approach.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
